It may only be February, but it is far enough into the new year that those of you may be planning your vacations this spring and summer. If you are planning on visiting Edmonton, here is some information to help your trip go smoothly.

If you are travelling here by any substantial distance, most likely you will be arriving by airplane. Here is the Web site for Edmonton Airports, featuring flight schedules, information about airlines serving Edmonton, and how to find transportation on the ground once you land.

The next question, is where to stay once you arrive in the city. As any smart traveller will tell you, it's best to make those sorts of plans in advance. Well in advance. Especially during Festival Season, finding hotels with vacancies can be a bit of a challenge. The Alberta Hotels Association can help you find the right accomodation for you and your family. Or, if bed and breakfast is more your style, here is a directory from the Bed and Breakfast Association of Greater Alberta.

Of course, getting around in a strange city can be difficult, especially if you don't have a car. Fortunately, Edmonton Transit has a Web site with routes and schedules.

The next major thing to decide when planning your vacation, is what to do, where to go, and what to see. Next week, we'll take a look at some of the fun and exciting things to visit in Edmonton.
